Subject: [Tig-announce] Pandora launch in Paris

 NEWS RELEASE

Pandora launches new sales and support organisation

Pandora International, leading manufacturer of colour processing equipment
and controllers for the digital film and telecine industries, has opened a
sales and marketing operations from a new office in Paris. Ralph Chaloub,
formerly European marketing manager for film imaging products at Thomson,
has been appointed marketing and sales director to run the operation.

"This is the most exciting time to be in the digital film industry, as
more and more movies are post produced in the digital domain," Chaloub
said. "I have worked very closely with Pandora over the last five years,
integrating MegaDef with Spirit and Specter. I know that Pandora makes world
class products: my challenge now is to build a world class marketing, sales
and support operation around them.

"Part of that will be in establishing a strong and responsive sales and
support operation for North America, based in Los Angeles. I will also be
building and strengthening relationships, with the telecine vendors
Cintel, ITK and Sony as well as Thomson and with partners like Quantel
and Snell & Wilcox as well as Thomson to develop film resolution
post-production suites," he continued, adding "but the bulk of my job will be
talking to the industry. While telecine is well established, there is so much that is
new, like the digital film intermediate process and digital cinema. My task is
to help progress in these areas by demonstrating what Pandora's toolkit can achieve,
and by driving our continuing development in response to the industry's needs."

Aine Marsland, CEO of Pandora International, added "I am delighted that
Ralph Chaloub has been tempted to join Pandora from Thomson. He is well
known and highly respected in the industry, and I am confident that he will
add another dimension to Pandora=B9s success.

Pandora International was founded in 1986 and has been an innovative
manufacturer of telecine controllers and colour processors since 1990. Its
intuitive Pogle controller and the modular structure of its MegaDef image
processing system allows precise realtime control of even film resolution
data. This has allowed Pandora to take a prominent position in the
emerging world of digital film post production. Pandora is an independent
company with its headquarters, research and manufacturing facilities in the UK.
Sales, marketing and support offices are in London, Paris and Los Angeles.
