AFAIK, a gotcha of the OSX version of Framelink (the Decklink utility)
is it requires the size of the QT available on the System Drive as
working space.

While the Windows version doesn't have this limitation it only works
with AVI files - not Quicktimes.

Otherwise it seems to work...

Blackmagic decklink has a free application that will do exactly what
you're looking for. Also Bob's GraphicsMagik www.graphicsmagick.org will
convert many types of DPX files to other raster image file types.

Discreet/Autodesk cleaner xl 1.5 will convert from DPX files, apply 3d
LUTs and convert to 8-bit uncompressed QuickTime files however via
command line only. To say it's a bitch, is an understatement.

Try the free Decklink utility first.
