           please remember that "rec 709" is actually a capture standard, and that reference crt
monitors had(have) a colorspace determined by the primaries of smpte C phosphors and a white
point of d65 which, if i'm remembering right is x=.313, y=.329. 
          the dolby does a great job of giving you a crt greyscale, while giving you a wider choice of
colorspaces and white points. understand what you're choosing and have the tools to prove it
to yourselves.
