If an XML was outside the package, it is most likely to feed
 a separate close-captioned system or, because of language 
 localization, a company was unwilling to rewrap the DCP
 for a different language. The CPL won't be able
 to deal with that without some behind the scenes work.  
Using the CineCanvas form of sub-titles, 
 the file is sent to TI projectors directly for rendering. 
If the DCP worked fine on a DoReMI, the projectionists
 comment is irrelevant.

 The media player is just a pass-through, so looking to 
 make sure the projector is properly configured is the first step.
Check connections from the Dolby to the projector.
Haven't seen this problem myself, so can't be more specific
 after that. Did you try more than one Dolby server?
