[Tig] Twitter and how it clashes with the TIG

One could make an argument that the TIG is old-fashioned, in not being marketing-oriented.  However, if you read the following self-explanatory URL, which is
sent to every subscribing member at start:

Here are the screen shots (in thumbnail form, from the Photo-Albums page on the main TIG wiki) of "Tweets" just received via the TIG.  The comparison to the TIG
might be that of Krylon on a freeway sign (the tweet) to an entry in the RFC reference cited above.

You'll get an idea how Twitter is a kind of return-to-AOL for internettans, or those-who-would-be-entthralled by splashy graphics on the front of used-car lots with 
Cal Worthington as the worthy announcer.

The TIG Tweet link will be down until further notice, unless someone gives a good reason to put it up.
