Those TIG subscribers with gmail accounts, or with Google Apps for business/personal use that require google mail routing, may not have been receiving mailing list mail, or even had their subscriptions disabled, due to excessive bounces from Google. This occurred because some (but not all) of Google’s MX hosts are misconfigured to reject mail bound for multiple domains. The misconfiguration is documented at

https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/CM4b5tTnegY
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/qQ3vDWouukk
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/gmail/PQLLTW1d3DM/discussion

and a workaround for the MTA Exim suggested at:

http://www.debian-administration.org/users/lee/weblog/47

The above workaround is now implemented for the TIG mailing list.
