If any person or entity would like to post information for a TIGNABFS2015 (TIG NAB Focus Sheet) I?m more than happy to produce one. ( http://www.amazon.com/Post-TV-Piracy-Cord-Cutting-Future-Television/dp/1442614528 ) (no connection whatever on my account with Amazon.com ) The blurb from amazon: "In the late 2000s, television no longer referred to an object to be watched; it had transformed into content to be streamed, downloaded, and shared. Tens of millions of viewers have ?cut the cord,? abandoned cable television, tuned into online services like Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube, and also watch pirated movies and programmes at an unprecedented rate. The idea that the Internet will devastate the television and film industry in the same way that it gutted the music industry no longer seems farfetched. The television industry, however, remains driven by outmoded market-based business models that ignore audience behaviour and preferences.? > On Apr 21, 2015, at 5:46 PM, peter_swinson--- via Tig wrote: > > Sohonet www.sohonet.co.uk sponsors the TIG. > RushTera www.RushTera.com supports the TIG. > ===== > > > Eternal camera that does not need an external power source, so can take photos forever, now what does that remind me of ? > Ah yes, I remember, FILM !!!!!!!! > > cheers > > Peter > _______________________________________________ > http://colorist.org > To change subscription options, see http://tig.colorist.org/mailman/listinfo/tig ? And all in B/W. Well not quite as bad as that. The original neg was ?damaged? by overuse as many original prints were made from the original negative in the 1960s. There were two fine-grain master positive that were made from the original negative as well, one used by Kubrick to make prints, but he was reportedly not happy with the contrast and density from the reproduction ? a common problem in black and white. One of these master positives was used as the source of the 2007 Sony restoration scanned at 4K. Although grainer than a first generation print, it is really a good presentation DCP.
