PROGRAM: PART ONE - TELECINE: THE TECHNICAL PROCESS
The February 13 and March 13 meetings will concentrate on the technical
and creative aspects of the film to tape process.
Part One this month will address the technology behind film to tape
transfers by having two telecine manufacturers discuss the implementation
of telecine technology in their products. Other topics to be discussed will
be the need for communication between the DP and the colorist, control
tools which can be used to optimize telecine set up and feedback on
exposure. Each speaker will make a brief presentation and then participate
in a panel discussion that will allow the audience to compare and contrast
operational and technical details.
