TELECINE TECHNOLOGY: State of the Art
Representatives from the major players in the telecine/telescanner field will
give technical presentations describing the core technologies and interesting
engineering features of their products. Based on the passion expressed by
telecine engineers and operators, this should be quite an event.
We will be hearing from representatives of the leading telecine manufacturers
Cintel (Sam Alexander), Philips (Dave Bancroft), Sony (Luke Freeman) and
Cinema Products (Ed DiGiulio). The discussions should give us a feel for
comparative technologies: CRT vs. Line Array CCD vs. Field Array CCD,Continuous
Motion vs. Intermittent Motion transports, etc.
