RE: London / UK question
These people used to have a DEFT.
Satellite Broadcast Facilities
Unit 20
Commercial Way
Abbey Road Industrial Park
London
NW10 7XF
0181 965 5955
DEFT produces a 24fps output which can be recorded on a specially modified
VPR6 or D2
There is also a device called TK3:2. JCA (John Claxton Associates) used to
have one of these.
I have no connection with nor am I paid by etc. etc. etc.

Subject: [TIG] London / UK question
Hi
I wonder if any good soul out there could help me on a specific problem.
I am trying to find a standards convertor for use in London, U.K. that
specifically identifies and removes the extra field introduced during
3:2 pulldown of a telecine transfer of film shot at 24 f.p.s. and
recorded to 525-line digital video.
I understand that Snell & Wilcox made such a convertor known as the
DEFT. Is there one in town or something similar?
Regards
Martin
