The stuttering motion in pans happens because 24 frames per second
is just too slow to adequately capture the motion.  You don't get
that in video, where the effective temporal rate is 50 Hz or 60 Hz,
depending where in the world you watch TV.  Ideally, though, we
should go to 72 frames per second.  Integer multiples are important
in converting temporal rates.
