Commercial Avid editors are always mucking with the composition and
motionry of a given shot. As a colorist I'm constantly forced to look at
their work picture (offline, cutting copy, etc) to match the compositional

Wasn't the whole concept of Avids OMF standard geared towards :) importing
this type of compositional information into a useful EDL?  And perhaps once
the source aspect and resolution was known, that information could be
imported and used in a typical daVinci or Pandora session. Wouldn't it be
nice if all of the X,Y, and Z information was really useful? I'm not saying
all of the pan percentages in my 2k are useless (yet), but they don't mean
a thing to my client base who don't work at telecine resolutions.
