I was under the impression that MPEG 4 was - to all intents and purposes - a
rebadge for Apple's Quicktime and, as such, has no fixed compression scheme
/ framerate / image area but rather is more of a protocol that determines a
method of describing various video and audio streams that constitute a movie
file.
